The Sims: Hot Date is the third expansion pack released for the strategic life-simulation computer game The Sims developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts.
[edit] Gameplay
The Hot Date expansion pack adds a new downtown area and various new social interactions.[1] To go downtown, Sims call a taxicab to take them there.
In addition to going downtown, Sims may go on dates. Dates may not show up, which will affect the relationship. Sims can visit restaurants and nightclubs within the downtown area. A new matchmaker NPC allows Sims to connect, which can result in success or failure.
